DCC is the first school in Montana with an aluminum-only class that aligns with Spika Welding's preferred curriculum goals and has the latest welding equipment, machinery, and tools used in the industry. Students log more than 2000 hours of hands-on training in the shop.

Highlights

  • All concurrent enrollment courses are transcripted as Dawson Community College credit and are fully transferable to most colleges and universities, depending on institutional policies. This early exposure to college-level academics helps students build confidence, develop college-ready skills, and make more informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
  • Dawson Community College is proud to partner with area high schools to offer a robust Dual Enrollment program, designed to provide qualified students with the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school diploma—at no cost to the student or their family.
  • In addition to excellent programs and services, Dawson Community College offers a truly collegiate experience. The students enjoy numerous co-curricular activities in student government, intercollegiate athletics, theatre and music productions, community service projects, intramural sports, and student organizations. The Housing and Residence Life program provides safe and affordable apartment-style housing, and it facilitates a fun, academically oriented, atmosphere.
  • There is no limit to the number of concurrent courses a student may take through the program. As a result, highly motivated students can accumulate 30 or more college credits prior to high school graduation, significantly reducing both the time and cost required to complete a postsecondary degree.
  • Through this program, participating high schools may offer concurrent enrollment courses taught by approved high school faculty who meet DCC’s instructional credential requirements.
